So it all began when I looked out my window and what did I see? Popcorn popping on the Apricot tree! Well that and a really cute boy with his friend mowing my lawn. We hadn't lived in Utah for long and my mom informs me that I no long need to mow the lawn because the landlord's son and friend are coming to do it, or something like that. When they showed up I remember sitting by the window with my little sister saying how cute one of the boys are, now I'm only about 13 years old, but cute boys were not a new concept to me, growing up in CA I didn't have a problem getting the attention from guys. But as my little sister tried to convince me to go ask him out (she being two years younger and not experience with the male species) I told her it would never work out. I never saw the two boys again....

**Now as anyone knows talking about your relationship problems with someone other than who the problem is with, is just a set up for disaster.
But his relationship soon ended and shortly after, so did mine. So I told him that we need to actually go out sometime and really get to know each other outside of school. So he asked me out for a date that Friday (which might have actually been the following day). Now he wasn't able to drive since he was still recovering from a car accident and so I had to pick him up.
**When I pulled up to his house I made him come outside because I was intimidated. I had no idea that he lived in the largest house on the block or that he lived in a big house at all.
But we went and saw "Tooth Fairy" at the $1 theater and then picked up my little sister and went to a park for a little bit before going back to his house to play games. As we sat there playing games we flirted like crazy and were just having a good old time. Then in walks someone that I hadn't seen in about 2 years, both of us confused as to what the other person was doing there. Little did I know, I was already friends with his sister.
** They are the kind of siblings that pretended the other didn't exist at school so nobody really knew that they were related, let alone brother and sister.
That night we said goodbye and he gave me a small kiss, I really wasn't sure that I wanted it though. I had just gotten out of a relationship with a guy that I really liked, but it turned out that I felt like I was just babysitting him all the time. Plus I wasn't sure if I wanted to get into a relationship with this guy because I already knew the faults of his past relationships. So when he asked me out that night I told him I wasn't ready and that I needed to go on a date with another guy before we went on our next date. But as I drove home with my little sister sitting next to me, I couldn't help but wish that the night wasn't ending. So I literally took the next available date, aka I went to see a play with one of my guy friends that Monday night.
**I once again drove, but this time I got some gas money ;)
First thing I did after taking him home was go back to the school to help them clean up after the play.
** I had been doing theater production since Freshman year and this was the first production that year that I had NOTHING to do with since I had just finished the one that closed the week before this one opened.
But I was not there long before I decided to go see the guy from Friday night. We just sat in front of his house talking and when the wind started to pick up he put his arms around me. At that point we decided that we would go on another date that Friday.
** I don't think I had ever done so much dating in my life, at least not when I wasn't already with the guy.
So even though he was asking me to be his girlfriend just about every day that week, I decided I wasn't going to just jump into this like I normally would. So that Friday (yeah 7 days between our 2 dates) we found ourselves at the Provo Temple and at 7:23 pm called it official.
**Now I'm not going to go into details, but I will say that on that date I understood how my mother could love my father all these years. And I had a very strong feeling that I was going to marry this guy someday.

The Engagement:
February 23, 2011
As time went on we became close to each others families. He took me to Disneyland and I flew him out to Northern CA to see where I grew up. Everything was just kind of falling into place. However, we did have about 72 hours where we broke up and I didn't know if I really wanted to put up with all the crap he was dishing out. But he said that he was going to do whatever it took to make it work and we got back together just in time for Valentine's Day.
**I don't remember for sure, but I think we got back together on the 13th.
On February 23rd we were up at 4 am talking and he asked me to marry him as he was 1/2 asleep. I said yes, but that he would have to do it again and actually be awake enough to ask.
** This same night he fell asleep with me there and I couldn't wake him up, even after slapping and then biting him. So I went home.
But the next day we went to the store and got a ring, but I told him he still needs to actually ask me. So when we got back we toyed with the idea of going on a Disney Cruise for our honeymoon and we looked up how much it would cost and everything. Then he knelt next to me on the ground and asked me to marry him.
**I was a little shocked at that he did it at this point because his parent's were out of town and I thought he would have at least waited until they came home again.
We did our best to hide it until his parents got home and we could tell everyone, but the word leaked out in some directions. Still no matter if it was positive or negative reactions that we got from other people, we decided that we loved each other and nothing was going to change that.

The Wedding:
December 30, 2011
It seems that the hardest part of us getting married was deciding on a date. At first we wanted to do it Jul 30, 2011 but there were just to many conflicting events and for some reason it just wasn't possible. Then for some reason the only other day that became possible was December 30, 2011. So that is when we decided and we were going to make it work no matter what we had to do to make it happen. There were a couple times that we got stressed, mostly with waiting, and almost went to Vegas to get married on our own. But we made it to December and got happily married with all our families around us.

| Bride & Groom with Bride's Maids (Dec 30, 2011) |
We got married in the morning at Wadley Farms in Lindon, UT. Ceremony in the morning followed by pictures and then a lunch-in that we were 2 hours late for because we were taking pictures. Then we got a little bit of a break before we went to finish setting up for the Reception. But of course no couple actually gets to eat on their wedding day, so when we got to the hotel we went across the street and got Pizza Hut.
